On October 4, the Chair of the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport of the RA National Assembly Sisak Gabrielyan, the Deputy Chair of the Committee Taguhi Ghazaryan and the Committee member Hasmik Hakobyan met with the Chair of the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport of the National Assembly of the National Assembly of Artsakh Republic (AR) Aram Harutyunyan.

Welcoming the guest in the RA National Assembly, Sisak Gabrielyan noted that the Committees would continue their effective cooperation.

Memorandum on Cooperation was signed between the abovementioned two Committees in 2019. The Chair of the Standing Committee of the AR National Assembly Aram Harutyunyan has informed that the mentioned Memorandum is the only one signed between the Committees of two parliaments. The sides have opportunity by that to take part in the debates on spherical issues, including the international meetings, parliamentary hearings and other events.

The sides expressed readiness to update the Memorandum and add some provisions. Particularly, the issues of the involvement of the Artsakh people in the non-formal educational programmes and the participation in the competitions of the National Academy of Sciences were stressed.
